In our last episode, we kept quoting "A Christmas Story" so much that we had to bring it into the podcast officially. Of course, the movie is a delightful representation of the idealized Norman Rockwell version of American Christmas.

In our last episode, we kept quoting “A Christmas Story” so much that we had to bring it into the podcast officially. Of course, the movie is a delightful representation of the idealized Norman Rockwell version of American Christmas. Still, as we started our conversation, we realize how much of the film plays to our perceptions of what Christmas means to us personally. The conversation that ensued is so much fun.

A Christmas Story is rated PG and was released November 18, 1983.

The movie stars Melinda Dillon as Mother Parker, Darren McGavin as Old Man Parker, and Peter Billingsley as Ralphie.

Our very own Eric Sweetman drew the art that accompanies our show today.

Hosts: Daniel Levain, Ian Sweetman, and Eric Sweetman.
